You can repay your Retirement System loan through payroll deducations as long as you are on the payroll of a participating employer. If you "go off the payroll", you still must make the required minimum payments. You'll have to make a payment at least every three months and payments must be sufficient to repay the loan within five years. Read"Loans: Getting One and Paying It Back" learn more!

In the event of a divorce, the court may grant your ex-spouse a portion of your pension benefit. We can only pay your ex-spouse with a valid Domestic Relations Order (DRO). A DRO is a court order that is legally binding on us. It specifies the portion of your retirement benefit your ex-spouse must receive upon your retirement. If you are a Tier 2, 3, 4 or 5 member, your beneficiary may be entitled to a death benefit payment if you die after retirement. Eligibility requirements and the amount of the benefit depend on your tier and retirement plan. Read the summary of your retirement plan for more information.
